The face of a ghost.
Though my days are often filled with much activity my nights prove seldom boring in the least. Where I find myself out and about during most evenings in search of what many others claim to be elusive.
Are ghosts and spirits as elusive as many groups are quick to claim whenever they come up empty handed?
I find that the spectral creatures and phantasms which exist within our faith inspired nether regions do indeed maintain a constant presence and vigil of both select structural and non structural locations as well as that of the living.
Thus the photographic capturing of any ghost or phantasm should be considered as mere simplicity.
And yet there still remains the fact that many haunting enthusiast still fail in their quest to capture any evidence regardless of claimed experience or lack thereof. Thereby creating what should become an atmosphere of humility within the parameters of a balanced playing field between those claiming themselves as pro ghost hunters and of those just starting out.
Unfortunately this same condition has also produced a financial boon for many opportunists seeking a quick buck and instant fame.
Which ultimately doesn’t matter to those of us who had wisely decided long ago to detach ourselves from such thinking and such people.
I walk out into any given night.
At any given location.
And acquire my evidence.
Without fanfare.
Within the silent magickal surrealism of mid to late evening.
With alternate stars and moon or cloudy moonless night in setting an atmospheric mood.
Guided by heightened sense and mental impressions.
I focus in on the spirits and phantasms which have drawn close to me and then I photograph them.
Sometimes they’ll avoid me once they have spotted the camera.
Other times they’ll come closer out of curiosity or a desire to be photographed.
The ghost in this picture is that of an elderly gentlemen long associated with the particular property from which this image had been captured.
So acquiring such images is possible.
Provided your heart is in the right place.
For even the dead may resist being exploited for personal gain.
