Thanksgiving was mixed this year with near tragedy and much to be thankful.

Some a**hole ran a stop light and almost cleaned our clocks with a large 4×4 which somehow magically went from a sure broadside to circling around the circumference of our front end and clearing the other side complete with screeching and smoking tires in never once coming any closer than two feet the entire time.

Call it luck or whatever you may want.

I call it protective magick and the power of our belief in God.

Good luck to those if any had desired our harm.

So thanksgiving was truly a day this year to be thankful of which was filled with family, love, and food, where now the turkey frame from our feast sits outdoors so that any indigenous nocturnal feral may have their go at it before the day flocks come with the morning wind and carry aloft the remains.

It’s traditional offering around here and comes complete with prayers.

I thank thee lady and lord for all things received as well as thy protection and reprieve from what may soon face its own reflection.

Yes change is inevitable.

And thy will be done.

Once again I wish all our family and friends a safe and bountiful Thanksgiving.

  1. Glad to see things are all hunky dory at your end of the world. I however will be on my back most of the day tomorrow and maybe two days to follow with severe lumbar pain. Big ouchies, feels like labor pains. So much pain today that I lost my Thanksgiving dinner. lol

So, if you don’t see anything tomorrow in a timely fashion, that means that I’m whicing and whining, not to mention using that god of yours name in vain.

  2. I wouldn’t necessarily call almost having your ass handed to you all hunky dory but I suppose things considering it could have been a whole lot worse.

Sorry to hear about the old lumbar which reminds me of the time about eight years ago I single handedly moved three car frames by my lonesome because none of the guido’s in the shop could be bothered to assist so I wound up partially dropping a nut which left me in agony for over a year before one day just popping back in.

Having no insurance back then was a bitch because nobody would hang onto you long enough to get it. Which I believe was the whole meaning behind the temp agency boom.

    Hope you feel better.

I’ll have Geezer send some healing your way.
