It is a known fact that some of the former residents of the “Almshouse” and “Insane Asylum” still exist in Highland Park as fragmentary remnants and whole skeletal remains.
It is not advised to travel about Highland Park or any park location for that matter in Monroe County New York after dark on foot unless you are accompanied by a large group.
Highland Park, much like Mount Hope Cemetery, both contain a surreal atmosphere after dark which creates a heaviness to the air and a hint of danger as there exists so many sections which defy any penetration by illumination leaving only guesswork as to what may exist beyond the shadows.
Perhaps at this point may we be able to shed a little light on this subject, which is precisely what we had discovered.
Points of different colored lights remaining momentarily stationary just over one of the numerous hills found throughout the park before blinking out of sight!
Now after having witnessed and captured by photograph first hand this unique regional phenomena, we of Rochester Paranormal do hereby officially declare Highland Park as haunted.
