1982 was the year that an organization by the name of PRAIR or Paranormal Research And Investigative Reconnaissance was formed by J. Burkhart who was living at that time in Ontario County New York. Principle method of paranormal investigations at that time were based more on scientific and investigative deductive reasoning and surveillance.

1992 brought about variable changes regarding procedural handling and acquisition of paranomalous phenomenon where greater focus was then placed upon behavior occurrence in correlation with environmental factors resulting in the creation of an overall comprehension on anomalous signatures.

2002 marked our twentieth year in existence after having logged thousands of hours and hundreds of cases involving a wide spectrum of paranormal and supernatural occurrences also involving private research.

Part of our success stems from our decision to remain private and distinct from other organizations whose behavior had demonstrated an attitude of competitive ruthlessness which lead to their boldly claiming all dominance within a research field while providing nothing more concrete than words and a few questionable photographs.

We take our interest into the investigative and research aspects of the paranormal and supernatural seriously which has lead our members into some very interesting encounters with the unknown.

One such encounter was the time our director and founder J. Burkhart was out late one night filming outside an old barn in Rush, NY with nightshot when “something” which looked like a floating orb or eye came near his position which was quickly followed by being growled at by something unseen in the darkness which immediately prompted shutting off the cam and beating a hasty retreat.

No sense in overstaying ones welcome.

Then there was the time we were stalked by ghostly hounds at Webster Park. Where some so called experts called the results of our two photographs the byproduct of nothing more than matrixing.

Which as we see it was just another way of them saying they really didn’t know what to call it!

Exploring the paranormal can be both exciting and a little scary sometimes.
