Here is the capture of an unexplainable rather colorful almost full spectrum anomaly exhibiting a rather curious configuration.

Captured By: Professional Psychic Medium Cindy Lee.

This is a really nice capture!
Full Spectrum Anomaly

  1. This is lens flare! A very common effect of tilting your at just the right angle to the sun or other light source.

People really need to learn the aspects and flaws of cameras and lens before labling things as paranormal. Much of the “Spirit” and “Orb” activity you see in photos are mechanical and programing glitchs in film cameras and especially digital camers.

  2. Taking into consideration your observation which may prove correct under those conditions you described, this image had been captured during daytime hours with overcast skies and thus no evident light source was anywhere in vicinity.

How much nicer our world would be if those who pride themselves as skeptics would do so without expressing the usual condescending remarks which does more to intimidate people as opposed to persuading any change of perception.

I agree that people inform themselves on the strengths and weaknesses of any piece of equipment used to acquire investigative paranormal data. But it should also be remembered that the laws and principles which govern our third dimensional dependency do not always apply towards anomalous paranormal occurrences.

  3. Look closer – there seems to be a hand holding this thing at the base of it. I have seen this shape before – it looks like a tool or a crutch or something.

Just speaking for myself, the lofty and condescending attitudes of our sceptical friends tires me. Half the time they don’t look closely before their little knees jerk and they are calling something staged or a “camera defect”. I used to go to this site renowned for it’s sceptical members and someone would post a fabulous photograph with multiple anomalies and our little sceptical friends would focus on one anomaly only, like an orb or something, and based on the orb, which did not meet their rigid idea of what an orb should be, would call the entire picture bogus. I would post multiple times, “but what about the other anomalies?”, and our little friends would ignore me because looking at the other stuff would mess up their theory of bogusness. I saw people put up legitimate, fascinatiang pictures, only to take them down immediately, so intense were the negative statements being made by the scepticists. You would never see a post by that one particular person again.

The problem with the scepticists, as far as I can see, is that they are so busy being sceptical they forget to look at the picture!

  4. Now that you both labled me a skeptic for pointing out the obvious, you need to understand that I’m not a skeptic, I’ve been blessed with several ocurrances of unexplainable situations and have found that looking for an answer before labling things a haunting is more logical… If you can find an answer, Great! If not, it lends more crediblity to your feelings. But as they say, try to debunk it first!

“The problem with the scepticists, as far as I can see, is that they are so busy being sceptical they forget to look at the picture!” The converse to this is that people who blindly believe are looking so close at the picture that they don’t see the actual view.

There is no intent to make condescending remarks and I’m sorry that you saw it that way. I’ve done both, ghost hunting and photography for many years and know that it doesn’t take much for a photo to become corrupted by light or reflections. Especially with digital cameras. Manufactures have openly admitted that most digital cameras have a problem with low light level photos and create what most people feel are orbs. I can show you many pictures that I have taken over the years with the same rainbow colored effect in many different patterns that I definitly would not lable as paranormal, but would lable as light leaks in the camera or processing. An example of this are 2 pictures that I took under the Broad St. Bridge. One photo when lighten a bit is full of orbs. We’re talking an abundance of orbs. I took a second photo (insurance of a good picture,) in the same spot, nothing!!!!! it was just the way the light source hit at that point.

I think you guys need to as open minded as you request others to be. No one is putting you guys down for your views of the photos, I just believe that there needs to be a little more disection of the image before a lable is placed.

  5. Was this taken at the graveyard we went to 2 weeks ago in th southern teir? If so, then the sun was very much hidden in the cloud cover and it was early eavening which the sun would have been behind the tree line to the west of us. Just asking cause I know mine that were taken there were very interesting . I still love the man sitting against the lower tree trunk that Cyn and I can see, but you couldn’t.
Have a great hunting day .. till our next trip

  6. We closely scrutinize all our images before upload to our site.

Each image is publicly displayed to demonstrate a particular unique anomalous form as captured in nature.

Some images are selected because of their unusual expression and form which may also be construed as art.

  7. What tree trunk are you talking about, Lady Fox? Not on this pic. Though there are other ‘things’ in this pic I can see directly below this light anomaly. John Y, you say you are receptive to what J is saying here but the only thing that came out of your mouth was:

“This is lens flare! A very common effect of tilting your at just the right angle to the sun or other light source.

People really need to learn the aspects and flaws of cameras and lens before labling things as paranormal. Much of the “Spirit” and “Orb” activity you see in photos are mechanical and programing glitchs in film cameras and especially digital camers.”

So even if you say your are receptive to the existence of paranormal phenomena, this is not quite to the way to say it, is it?

  8. Xtina, That is exactly the way to say it, like it or not! With 35 years of photography behind me including many hours in dark rooms and processing thousands of rolls of and seeing thousands of rolls of professionally processed and playing with the new digital processes, I have a little experence in photo imaging. You don’t need a direct light source all the time to get rainbow streak, all you need is a shutter hangup or lens that is not set quit properly, or a stray light beam from the enlarger or safe light in the dark room or a beam of light from under a door jam in the darkroom. If you closely examined most of the pictures on the lead page, you’d find that there are logical explainations for them. The only one that actually baffels me in the smokey appearing one.

These are my opinions, they are not critizing you or J for your beliefs. I firmly believe that you have to completely and totaly eliminate any possible logical or scientic explainations before judging anything paranormal. If you think this lofty, as you said about those who don’t agree with your views, then I guess you are closed to discussion and believe that your views are all that is true. In which case this will be my last post. I came here to discuss things not to be told that there is only point of view.

Best of luck and only good wishes for you all….
